1. Contact a Realtor

After making your decision to start looking for a home; contact an experienced, professional realtor. Once you contact us; The Davis-Higgins Team will set up an in -office appointment to meet with you. This is usually a "getting to know one another" meeting. Asking questions; what you want in a home, style, location etc. We’ll also go over information about the buying process.

2. Get Pre-Approved by your Lender

The next step is getting pre-approved by a qualified lender to purchase a home. We offer these services through Real Living as part of our "One Stop Shopping" resources. Our in house lender, Real Living Mortgage, an affiliate of Wells Fargo, will give you expert advice on various financial programs and current interest rates. Pre-approval is a great negotiating tool -- sellers want to know that you're an able and willing buyer.

Once you’ve decided on a lender and determined your comfort zone or price point you are ready to start looking!

3. Start Looking!

The Davis- Higgins Team will set up your own personalized client listing site for you. We research all homes in your price range, matching all the criteria you’ve requested. These active listings will be sent to you on a daily basis giving you time to review them and select the ones that most interest you. Whenever a new listing comes on the market you’ll be the first to receive it.

At your convenience we will set up showings for you to see homes that interest you. We do the work, giving you time to make the right decision. Once you pick a home that you want, The Davis- Higgins Team will research comparable properties in that location. We’ll provide information on the stability of the neighborhood, location, schools and up to date information on what the homes have sold for.

Once an offer is made to the seller, the fun part begins!
